WHAT IS PRISM?

The Paranormal Research and investigation Society is an organization based from the University of Tennessee at Martin located in Martin, TN.

PRISM is comprised of a group of certified paranormal investigators that are dedicated to the research and exploration of paranormal phenomena.

The focus of the group is to use objective scientific and academic research as well as investigation methods using scientific equipment and methods to explore the field whilst integrating the use of physics, psychological, and philosophical methodologies and theories in order to ultimately help forward the scientific study of experiences of the human psyche as it relates to paranormal phenomena and claims thereof.

They are not only "ghost hunters" they are also knowledgeable of other paranormal topics.

We are a paranormal investigation organization that utilizes various tools in order to scientifically establish whether or not actual paranormal activity is taking place in a client's residence, business or property.

 As paranormal investigators, we are committed to authenticating evidence and documenting the existence and actions of paranormal activity through audio, video, and other means.

METHODOLOGY

While our methodology and belief system is like that of groups such as TAPS we differ insofar as we go to haunted locations in an attempt to VALIDATE claims of haunting instead of DEBUNKING everything.

We believe debunking claims comes naturally and is not our intention however we do believe that it is critical to find the TRUTH and debunking does come into play but it is not our primary focus.

We are against usage of devices such as dowsing rods, Ouija boards..etc..

Note on Investigations:

 The area of environment, property history, building construction and materials, the geological make up of the area and any medical and psychological history of the client(s are considered in all investigations

We conduct thorough paranormal investigation where we research all aspects
of reported activity and client observations from a scientific standpoint to possibly
determine what is and is not actual paranormal activity.
We do not claim to get rid of ghosts

 This is very important, as is the investigation of any
reported paranormal activity (such as knocking on walls, movement of objects, voices being heard, etcetera) for possible natural explanations.

Any medical and psychological history of the client(s) are taken in consideration as perceptions of paranormal activity may be obscured by conditions of this nature.

Only after all findings have been thoroughly analyzed, false positives established and
eliminated and any natural explanations of activity have been determined, we then present
our findings and conclusions to the client(s) to educate, create a better understanding of  the current activity and discuss possible options that can be taken as well as determine if a follow up investigation is warranted or desired by the client(s)
(with respect to scheduling).

 PRISM is dedicated to helping people who feel they may be experiencing actual paranormal activity in their lives
and homes. We do our best to investigate, research, analyze gathered evidence, dismiss false evidence, provide information and help to educate the client, as well as the public, in order to provide a better understanding and documentation as to what the activity may be.

.We understand that paranormal activity may occur at all times of day or night, therefore, we are here for you 24/7.
If there are circumstances where we cannot help you, we will be happy to discuss other possible means of help in our area who may be able to provide the type of service you may desire.
We feel that all paranormal investigation groups should be striving towards the same goal as we are all looking for answers to the same questions.

We are. not in competition with other paranormal investigative groups, nor are we looking for fame or glory. It's all about research, history, scientific evaluation, education, understanding and providing help and support to
those experiencing possible paranormal activity in their home.
 

Most of us have families, college students..etc and all of our endeavors are out of pocket.
We absolutely will not charge for investigations or services.

All of our investigators are dedicated to the study and analysis of paranormal phenomena. They are caring and  respectable towards the client's privacy, property, wishes and circumstances and will not stray from that.
